It was a direct swap except for the lift struts. Had to buy a different type that mounts to the hinges: OEM’s won’t work. Fun fact: Raptors also don’t come with a prop rod like the other Broncos. Never noticed it until after the hood was installed and I needed to prop it up.
Bought and...
Yeah, that’s a legitimate concern for sure. I normally trans-fill my own tanks, so the re-certification isn’t as big of an issue for me.
I’ve always carried hand tools or battery tools, so the tank has always been used strictly for tires.
As much as I love Milwaukee tools, I found this to be very accurate. I had to re-seat the beads on my tires after a major offroad incident and the M18 simply wouldn’t do it. Only way we made it happen was to use a PowerTank.
After that experience, I switched away from onboard compressors and...
It was a cool video, but I couldn’t help thinking that if they would’ve put somebody like Vaughn Gittin, Jr. in any one of those trucks, he would’ve absolutely smoked the other drivers.
It's definitely a personal preference, but I've always hated the white lettering, even on my EB's. When I read your other post about getting the RWL's, my first thought was to mount them with the RWL facing inwards, which I've done several times before.
Also, not sure if it's still a thing...
Yeah, I wouldn’t care too much about the dirt if they helped get me out of trouble. If you carry any bungees or ratchet straps, you can always strap them to the spare for the ride home or until you can get them cleaned up.
If I’m being honest, the only time I’ve ever used boards was to get my...
Brandon is a good guy. Communicates well and ships really fast.
With the boards on top, you probably won’t see them at all. The Raptor cross brace will probably be the only thing you see.
I’ve got a set of Maxtrax long boards, but I’ve only packed them in the Bronco for one trip. Instead...
Here’s a pic of the Pura Vida setup. I don’t have much stored on it right now, but it’s a really good use of otherwise wasted space. From the driver’s seat, it’s not visible at all in the rear view mirror.
Not the greatest photo, but it was a great day! Finally got to see my Raptor fully completed after 18 months of waiting. I wrecked it in April 2023 and got it back in December 2024.
