- 2023 Bronco Raptor
Hi all, has anyone found any options for lowering the BRaptor's stock 4.70 gear ratio? It appears that there are several options for changing gear ratios in a standard/Non Raptor Bronco all the way down to 5.38 but I am unable to find any solutions that will work for the BRaptor. I was even considering the 74Weld Portals even though I don't want the truck higher or wider but I've learned that they have no intentions of offering a portal product for the BRaptor. I am currently running 39" BFG KM3's (they fit fine with a small lift) but would like to go to 40's or even 42's but that will require gearing the truck lower so as to retain the crawling torque required for hard rock trails that I enjoy! Throwing out the stock ford axels and housings and installing aftermarket ones isn't a great option since the OEM units contain a lot of support for the electronic systems that would be difficult to do with aftermarket parts. I hate to say this but maybe I need to buy a Jeep
?
