I’m starting some preventive research since I just crossed 40k miles and know the battery is only a matter of time. Has anyone upgraded to a lithium battery? Looks like it would drop about 40 lbs. From what Gemini is showing, the Dakota Lithium DL+ 12V 60Ah is about $615.

Not in the Braptor but, almost 7 years ago, I installed and AntiGravity in my P-Car and it’s been rock solid. (knocking on wood)

I'm actually an Antigravity dealer and I've done a few Broncos and Raptors. Most of my clientele drives high end exotics but I use them in almost every car I've owned since becoming a dealer. I haven't had a chance to swap one in to the Bronco just yet but if you are comfortable with Forscan, you can change the charge values easily and it works great in the Braptor.

The fact they have built-in jump starting is just icing on the cake and their warranty is the best in the biz. Pricey, but they usually last 2-3X longer and have a longer charging lifespan (how many times it can be charged) than lead acid/AGM. They charge more quickly, generally drop about 40 pounds of weight off the nose and have a number of other cool features including an add-on battery monitor that does have some actual utility. Integrates with your smartphone. The only thing it isn't is a deep discharge battery.

Happy to offer a discount to any forum members interested if it's appropriate.

will this battery work with the existing
add on positive and negative connections?
adding photos of my Braptor stock battery set up.

Yep, they make batteries in a multitude of case sizes and off the top of my head, the Braptor is an H7. So it'd be the same case dimensions with terminals in the same place.

I am interested in the Dakota Lithium DL for the Braptor, If its appropriate what would the discount be?
Also this should be a clean swap, no software changes or battery connectors needed?

I'm only a dealer for Antigravity. I've never heard of Dakota batteries and looking them up, they look a little basic to be honest. I didn't see anything they offered as being a direct drop-in replacement with the proper amp hours.

On the AG's, you're looking at 15% savings through me.

OK Thanks

I haven't used a lithium battery, but I did a bit of research on them for my last vehicle (a Jeep). The reasons I decided against it were 1) Cold weather concerns since I am in Colorado, 2) I heard the AGM batteries handle winching (sustained loads) better, and 3) I read about potential alternator compatibility issues.

Disclaimer - This is information I gathered about 1.5 years ago, so it may or may not be accurate for current Lithium batteries. Just thought those would be a few good research points for you before deciding.

Thanks I do appreciate the input, I have been wondering about these questions also.
