Just purchased for mine. Thankfully I didn't add this at time of purchase as the cost was way more then and this allowed me to tailor the options (Years/Miles/Deductible/Care Version) based on my needs along with some historical background to my use. I remember the discussion with the Finance Manager when purchasing and they presented limited options for consideration.

Thanks Zach and Granger Ford.

I love how dealers won’t talk about extended warranty pricing until you’re sitting in the Finance managers office waiting to get your keys.

Then they try to sell you an extension, then whine and moan that you’re killing them while dropping the price to something still well above cost plus $50. I just laughed my way through it as I had researched pricing in advance. I bought online through Flood, which was cheaper than Grainger (by only a couple of bucks) at the time. Would have gladly bought from Grainger as well though.

Whether you choose to buy an extended warranty or not (it’s a gamble), you have to be thankful for Grainger and others for creating some transparency on pricing. It levels the playing field between customers and dealers

Appreciate the kind words, and ultimately I think like you mentioned, we are a benefit to anyone doing research. We're happy to assist even if you don't buy a contract from us.

FWIW, we will match any price quote you receive and I always want to know if we're not priced the most aggressively, just to make sure we're not missing something.

As we wrap up the final days of the year, we want to thank everyone for making us the #1 online provider of Ford Protect Extended Warranties!

If it wasn't for your word-of-mouth and referrals we wouldn't have been able to accomplish this. So a Big Thank You!

Curious about this as well, and if one can be added if the vehicle is registered in CA.
My understanding from Granger is you can add one on a CA registered vehicle, but you have to have a non-CA mailing address at time of extended warranty purchase. The warranty is VIN dependent and can be serviced under the warranty in any state. I managed to purchase mine in Jan 2023 before Flood stopped selling them to Californians.

Just California trying to solve one problem and creating another as usual.

Last month was record breaking so we are offering this again this month. The extended warranty will be at our cost again for March. We appreciate all the support from this team.

If the vehicle is still in factory coverage, you can do everything via our site.

If it is a used vehicle (any Ford vehicle)(less then 10 years old, and less then 80k miles) then you will need to email the team at [email protected] and they will get you a quote!
