So, I look everywhere for gears for the Raptor Dana 50 Rear Standard Rotation. ELD
Dana 44 Front Reverse Rotation. ELD
It has 4.70. All the forums/ post says I should go to either a 4.88 or 5.13. I can't find any of these parts??????? All I see are for non Raptors basic bronco's. Am I missing something? Can I change the gears? Where can I find the parts that are for Raptor specific? I can't find a definitive answer. Thanks for the Help. Peace JB

Gears are one of those things that people form an opinion on, usually based on what someone else said or how it made their butt Dyno feel, so you’ll get lots of different thoughts. I came from Jeeps where gears are often talked about and swapped around, but I haven’t seen as much talk about them in the Broncos (yet). I had a Wrangler Sport that was bought used, already had a lift, 37’s, onboard air, etc. it was the stock 3.73 gears and was a dog on the freeways of California, so changes had to be made. I bought a brand new crate Dana 44 front axle and had it re-geared to 5.13’s, it made a noticeable difference making that big of a change. I then bought a Gladiator Rubicon which has 4.10 gears stock, lifted it 3.5 inches and added 37’s, did not feel like it needed a change of gears for my use. It did everything I needed it to do, towed, wheeled, drove at highway speed, so I did not change the gears. Now the main reason it worked for me, in my opinion, was the 8 speed auto on the Gladiator. I do not think you will notice much of a difference, especially for the money, with either 4.88 or 5.13. If I were going to change gears, which I won’t be doing, it wouldn’t be for anything less than 5.38. I am not even sure what sizes would fit well on the Raptor, you have to be careful your pinion gear isn’t too small, so you would have to do some more research there.

Kind of long winded, probably not much help, but this forum has seemed kinda slow lately so I figured I would give some food for thought.

I've been looking for options to lower the gearing on my 2023 BRaptor for quite some time now and have had almost no success. As far as I can tell nobody, including Ford, makes a ring and pinion gearset for the Raptor trim of the Bronco. The axels and housing on the Raptor are unique and I guess there's not that many Raptors out there that people are interested in building so I appears that no aftermarket shops are making this kind of thing for the Raptor trim. Another thought I had was portals. 74Weld makes some great portals for the non-Raptor trim levels but they told me that they would not be doing the Raptor because they believe portals would make the truck too wide and too tall. Replacing the stock Dayna axels/housing with more standard/common parts may be an option but I have been told by my Ford Performance shop that it would likely be difficult because the electronics in the Raptor (braking, suspension, lockers, etc) are integrated into the axel housing and would require some sort of a device to spoof the trucks computers. The last option I looked at was an Atlas transfer case. According to their website, they make a t-case that would fit the BRaptor (along with the required engine/trans adaptors). The installation would require a body lift and a re-shaping of the trans tunnel to fit along with an electronic dongle to fool the onboard computers into thinking all is unchanged.

I haven't gotten to the point where I want to cut up my truck to install the Atlas t-case yet so I'm still looking for a simpler option. If you find any other options for gearing down please post and I will do the same. Good luck!
