Center plastic on hood

What do you guys put on the center "scoop" to keep it looking good ?
I put some Adams matt black cleaner on mine and it looks like crap.

I used ceramic coating on all the black plastic when new and so far been maintenance free, however I haven't challenged it yet in dirty environmental conditions.
