Seems like a lot of price discrepancy across vendors of these, wonder why? Especially compared to Ford Performance.
 
The image of the hood vent does not appear to have the word, Raptor on it like the OEM version has.
It does have the Raptor wording like the OEM. This actually attaches to the side with two, what appears to be plastic nuts. If you go to Ford Performance they have install instructions that show this.
 
Being honest....

I'm all for cool stuff. The fiber looks great, but the cost is a bit excessive. BRaptors are heavy to start with. Fiber saves weight but serves no performance value in this application. To me, at this price point, it is equivalent to adding a rear wing to a Toyota Corolla.

The fact that the CF replaces plastic parts such as fender flares, hood cowl, side vents, etc., I find it hard to believe that there is any weight savings whatsoever. They seem to be simply for style. Since they became available, there are some outlets starting to discount them. Possibly because they are so expensive and do not seem to fulfill any functional purpose, fewer people are buying them than was anticipated.

Exactly! Style only. Carbon fiber is cool as hell but, for our toys, they offer no performance value (weight savings).

Now if someone made a true CF hardtop....well that is worth considering. The weight savings would be yuge.

I think the CF bronco roof that Anderson Composites sells is a true CF roof. But considering that the OEM hard top is basically glorified card board with a synthetic shell, I don't think the Anderson top would save weight-but it sure looks good!

The Anderson CF top is true carbon fiber. I’ve got one for my Raptor that will hopefully be getting installed within the next couple of weeks. Just waiting on my body shop to call and say they’re ready for it.

I have some questions for you if you don't mind. First, how long will do these roofs last and what type of care do they need? I have heard that CF is primarily affected by solar exposure and there is not much that can be done other than covering it or minimizing that exposure to keep it in good shape. Thees roofs are beautiful but I park my Raptor outside and not sure I want to sink alot of money into a roof that needs replacement sooner rather than later. And are you going to sell your OEM top or keep it as a back up? And how long between your order and when they were ready to ship it? Thanks and its beautiful!

I really don’t know how long they last, but I expect it should be quite a while. I was told the Anderson components have a UV inhibitor, so hopefully the Sun won’t discolor or degrade them very quickly.

Mine will be parked outside for a while, so I’m slightly concerned about exposure, but I’m more concerned about scratching from birds and cats. For me, at the end of the day it’s a truck, so a few scratches are to be expected. I may end up getting a quality car cover for it, but I don’t really know how well that will protect it.

I damaged my OEM top (and the OEM fenders) in a rollover, so it’s trashed. If I end up having to do something different, I’ll probably just install the soft top from my daughter’s Bronco. If I could’ve gotten a black or color matched top from the new Broncos being produced, that would’ve been my preference, but they’re just now starting to hit the streets and probably won’t be available as an aftermarket part for quite a while.

When I ordered it from @LethalPerformance in late December, there weren’t a lot of other options available, so I pulled the trigger. It was delivered in early March, which was quite a bit quicker than the initial estimate. Think Anderson told them something like 26-30 weeks. I expected to need it in June, so was happy to have it early. As it’s turned out, the body work has taken longer than expected, so the top’s been sitting in a crate in my warehouse until they’re ready for it.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry about the rollover but it sounds like you are making the best of it. I originally wanted a painted factory top but they weren't available as you know. I might have my O hard top prepped and painted by the custom shop at Galpin Ford that specializes in that sort of thing.

I was hoping my OEM top might be repairable, so had planned to get it painted. When we started really looking at it, there were hairline cracks throughout so knew we’d have to find a replacement. I was waiting on the ADV top, but that didn’t turn out so well, so I finally pulled the trigger on the Anderson after not being able to find another OEM for a reasonable price.

I’m not a big fan of the texture on the other Anderson tops, so went ahead and ordered the CF. It’s a really good looking piece of hardware! I think a smooth painted top would look just as good, though.

You may want to consider having Xpel PPF installed on the CF. Friend of mine had his new Z06 with Z07 pkg (CF ground effects & CF wheels) done with Xpel as I'm not sure how you repair chipped or scratched CF. The Xpel PPF will self heal from minor scratches and dings.
