POD lights that mount in same location as the Rigid POD lights. Checkout the SS3 Ditch light off vs on example photos below. Impressive.

These ditch lights look good! They also have some light bars that I really like as well.

curios how they compare to Baja Designs.

So here is my "spiel" as I call it about Baja vs Diode

Baja Designs has a longer warranty (lifetime). Diode Dynamics has an 8 year warranty.

Baja Designs has a better finish on their housings compared to Diode Dynamics (the Baja take more "abuse" without scratching as easy)

Baja Designs Squadron Sport are brighter then Diodes SS3 Sport.

HOWEVER, Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro and Max are brighter then the Baja Designs Squadron Pro (and they don't even have a Max).

Baja Designs costs more then Diode Dynamics.

The SS3 are offered with various back-light options, whereas the Squadron are not.

The SS5 all feature an RGB back-light, so you can select what color you want. The XL/LP Series from Baja only feature an amber back-light (on the LP series, no back-lighting on the XL Series). And even then that's just an accent style back-light, it doesn't light up the entire housing like Diode will for their back-light.

We find that folks who tend to off-road a lot go with Baja Designs because of the quality of the product. And folks who don't off-road a lot but want a killer light output go with Diode Dynamics.

Hope that helps.

Ohhh yeah we live and breath lighting :) We're one of Baja Designs and Diode Dynamics biggest stocking dealers (we have a warehouse filled with lights from both brands, so we ship right away)

Here are the XL80 from Baja on our Bronco

Here are the LP4 on Bronco Raptor

And then these are the SS5 (and the SS5 Crosslink) on a Bronco

And of course the Diode Dynamics SS3 on a Bronco (can ya tell... we specialize in Broncos and lighting)
