After making a couple Forscan changes on @Dgchurch truck, he issued a challenge.

He wanted his oil, engine and transmission dial gauges in the digital instrument cluster to display the actual temperatures. Challenge accepted!

Almost no documentation on Broncos for this as only the Raptor had the digital cluster. Searching around F150 and Ranger, led me to some clues and….

It worked! This just requires a simple manual edit to the IPC module “as built” file in Forscan. Directions:

Enter IPC module as built file and locate block “720-07-01”
  • To update Engine and Tranny Temp gauges, change to xxxx-xx5x-xx—. This changes ETD and TTD from SP1 (A) to Always on (5).
  • To update the Engine Oil Temp gauge, change to xxxx-xxx4-xx—. This changes EOD and TTD from SP1 (8) to Always on (4)

Note: When I pressed “Write” Forscan gave me a “check digit” dialog box and I pressed “continue” to write the change.

After writing the change(s), the cluster resets and you will see the change in the cluster. .

Nice! Is there a code for the Turbos? I would like to display my boost numbers. Before I purchased, I had an aftermarket cluster that was digital from CaRoboter, and it displayed the numbers. They basically copied the Raptor cluster.

I don’t know. I’m learning as I go.

I’ll dig around tonight, if you can send a picture of the gauge you want the digital displayed on your cluster, I’ll see what I can figure out. I want to be sure I’m solving the right problem!

There is the Measurements which display's the boost. I have this gauge arrangement stored in my "R" mode settings. Although it isn't a combination analog/digital display as above.

I think our gauges should have shown these digital readings as the default setting, not sure why they left them toggled off. I was going to do the same digital gauge setting last spring but discovered I let my Forscan license expire, at the time there wasn't a method to renew. I'll have to recheck my Forscan.

I just pulled my truck out of the garage and decided to see what my Boost Guage would display…. Guess what?

Apparently one of my changes enabled the Boost actual reading. All I did was pull this up as the second optional gauge.

Sadly I don’t see anything obvious in the IPC module.

There is a Turbo Boost / DGI in block 720-07-01 xxxx-x*xx-xx—, but my truck is already set to Turbo Boost “Yes” with hex = “E” so that is unlikely to help.

There is another Boost Vacuum Range block at 720-11-01 xxxx-xx*x-xx—, my truck is set to Boost Vacuum Range set to “Range 1” with Hex 0. This appears to only change the range, but when I changed to “Range 2” hex “4” the range did not change and actual did not pop up. So no luck here.

Probably best workaround is as @TurboS suggested above using Raptor Information > Measurements > Vacuum Boost

Even Vacuum Boost in My Gauges only gives you a bar gauge with no actual measurement.

Sorry I couldn’t help further… yet

Should be able to get a Forscan 2 month license for $0 at Forscan.org, that’s what I’m using for time being

Awesome! Thanks @JohnGalt - can’t wait to make this enhancement.

Ok. The inHg and PSI is cool. It's interesting, though you cannot see the real value here at the gauge. Below was the gauge view from my CaRoboter on my 2.7. Note it shows all values. This is basically or nearly a copy of the Raptor cluster with a few differences. If this cluster can show it, I am pretty sure, or I would have thought the Ford cluster could show it.

Like the Raptor cluster, you can change the gauges to what you want. This was when I first started setting up the cluster. It has as many screens as the Raptor one, where you can change them as well as the off road modes. It is actually a decent digital cluster.
