Well 648 miles on my 2023 Braptor and already saw a few spots of transmission fluid on the front passenger side on my garage floor. Spoke with dealer and they will try to come pick up from home. Looks like something may have busted around my transmission cooler. Will keep you guys posted.

Got a call from the dealership. Apparently a line that runs to the transmission cooler ruptured. Shitty thing to happen with this low of miles but hey I’ll take it if that’s the worst case scenario. Dealer said the part should take 4-5 days to be delivered.

I had the same thing under 500 miles. It was the transmission cooler. 2 months to get the part! Hopefully yours is just the hose, but they thought the same and turned out it was the out of stock back ordered cooler.

Well I’ll let it be known if the line is for sure the problem once I get it back. Should get it back by next weekend.

Really glad to hear that yours is working fine. Gives me light at the end of the tunnel

Update……… Got it back today and everything seems to be in order now. Here is what the tech typed up.

Fantastic! - looks also like they had to replace the oil cooler unit (3 item in the list). That was the part that was on a 2 mos backorder when I had my issue. Supposedly they changed manufactures which was causing the delay and availability. It's been about a month and 1k miles and I still crawl under to check to see if there are any more leaks. Still good :) After the fix I had a little residual fluid still showing up, but finally has now stopped and it's been dry and clean!

Yup I noticed that and thought damn exact thing happened to Praptor happened to me! Thought you’d get a laugh out of it 😂 Believe me I’ll be looking under there for awhile just as you did

Well, this isn't encouraging...
Picked up my brand new Braptor Monday at 2 pm, had it spraying fluid in the first 5 miles... so it sits at the dealer, waiting for the backordered part.
The tech said this was the 5th one he'd personally worked on for this issue.
Hope it's not a multi month wait like others have had.

I immediately open and escalated a case with ford. It was assigned a specialist and it might have been given a higher priority and follow up besides just the dealership. In the end I was also able to get $1k stipend (MC gift card) for my troubles and being without my vehicle for 2+ months!

Sweet... you have tips for me on opening and escalating the case? Dealer is acting hamstrung, abs waiting on Ford, who hasn't even replied to them now 48 hours later..
I really don't want it to sit down there all summer.

Office: 866-631-3788 Should just state your problem, dealership not being able to give you an update, no rental (if thats the case) and the fact you paid 90K+ for a vehicle you arent driving and you want it fixed or replaced ASAP

Got it.
On it now. Thanks for the info...

Damn I’m sorry you’re going through the same pain Praptor and I felt with. I was fortunate enough to get mine back in about 7-10 days tops. Once mine was fixed I haven’t had the issue come back.

Thanks for the condolences, lol.
We're on day 3 with no resolve, so I'm not real hopeful, but I will be opening a case with Ford today. Maybe that'll help...

Any further developments @Night Bear ? Hoping the escalation path at minimum gets you better communication and down the road a good will stiped for your troubles.

So far, the response is that Ford rolls the dealership"the part is in transit to the packager. Once the packager has it, Ford will get it shipped to the dealer".
I'm not really sure what that translates into from a time frame perspective. They told me that Thursday morning, and haven't heard anything since.
Hoping for an update today...

That is great news! They have the part, and it took about 2 weeks for it to ship then ship again and arrive from that status. Yup... dumb ford couldn't tell me the shipping as it was with the packager and not them, and then when it ships, they still can't tell till the dealership receives their parts if it was shipped/received. I was blown away by how not efficient ford is at shipping. Stuck in the 90's I think with their systems. (see amazon model)

The best news tho is in transit! not much longer now!

Here's hoping that's the case. There's been no further updates since, it's starting to drive me crazy!
