The official Velocity Blue Bronco Raptor photo thread!
I thought this was the Ford "Performance Blue" that was exclusive to the Ford Performance vehicle lineup. The first thought that comes to mind is all of the Ford Performance vehicles from a few years ago.

These test Bronco Raptor photo's with the black bumper and skid plates I suspect is the ones we have seen for months with the blank and white camo that later had the bumper exposed, therefore the black was part of the camo. The "Raptor" badges would have also not been present as we may have also noticed those under the black and white camo or maybe the "Raptor" name was yet to be determined. We are now just seeing them with the camo removed. Appears the yellow cable is a diagnostics hookup for the open laptop on the console.Nice looking rig. some random observations:
-no Raptor badge or Bucking Bronco badge on tailgate. I know this is a pre-prod/demo unit...just curious why
-has the forged wheels...awesome
-what is the yellow cable running under the passenger side mirror? for the antenna?
-black skid plate...again a preproduction thing I assume
I do love VB as well. My 73 Bronco is Bahama Blue. It’s a lighter shade than this of course. I jokingly said that they should have some retro colors for us early Bronco enthusiast. We could have matching pairs! Old and new! There are a lot of really nice colors to choose from although I did choose this one. I have to say as many times as I have looked at these pictures this was the first time I saw the hood wind deflector. I better start paying better attention and quit drooling....haha.
I wonder if this is the same one that's been spotted lately running away from the camera?
Does the bug deflector help at all with rocks and the windshield cracking?Looks the same with the front air/bug deflector however the license plate number is different, plate number in the video is 096M008 vs 047M955 in the above photos. I'm guessing, maybe the deflector was there to test the effect on the engine with the heat extracting hood, would make sense why the video was in a warmer climate. Or, it could be just to reduce bugs on the windshield, or effect on gas mileage.
Not likely, maybe could help with the sandblasting effect from highway use.Does the bug deflector help at all with rocks and the windshield cracking?
Color has been the hardest decision. Wish I could see them all in person to make a better choice. Currently have hot pepper red ordered but the velocity blue is growing on me. I like black too but just so hard to keep clean. Even more difficult with a vehicle like this that will be spitting up a ton of road debris and mud etc.I think this blue looks great on the Bronco Raptor! It's between this and black for me right now.
If you can go to one of the bronco test rides they have a lot of Jerry cans painted the colors of the broncosColor has been the hardest decision. I looked at a hot pepper red Ranger Tremor a few weeks ago. That color is beautiful. I’ll throw out some pics, but again it’s better in person. I loved the way the sun hit it. There are lots of good colors. I saw most of them at the Bronco Super Celebration last year.Color has been the hardest decision. Wish I could see them all in person to make a better choice.
