I keep thinking I should do a fulsome comparo given that I've had an Frap for about 7 years and am basically completely gaga about that vehicle. I'm enjoying the Brap for sure...but they're just so different that I've concluded that comparing them would be much like comparing a really good apple...

300 miles into my trip, as I was coming back down out of the mountains, I was at 18.9 mpg. The first ~750 miles I owned the Brap, I averaged 12.2mpg. That was a lot of romping up and down mountain roads and some off-road, very little freeway. I don't believe in standard break-in methodologies...

It's not the most interesting topic but 'm finding some interesting stuff. I returned yesterday from an approx 400 mile trip from approx sea level in CA to Yosemite and back. The water volume in the rivers and falls up there this is mind-boggling but not the point of this thread. WRT the Brap...

No Nepenthe on this trip. Lunch was some terrific sandwiches from the Big Sur deli...we sat down at the river for lunch. There's so much water everywhere down there this year...it's great.

My son and I took the BRap out for a little day trip to Big Sur. It's about an hour from where I am to Carmel where Hwy 1 gets really scenic. Between a bit of slower traffic and my attempt to soft pedal the thing a bit to see what we could do on MPG, I was pleasantly surprised to find 18.4mpg...

pretty interesting. Inflation accounts for some of it but they clearly either underestimated demand and / or played more of a seeding vs skimming strategy for early pricing. It's probably a little of both.

it'll be interesting to see what the MSRP is by the time your price locks in. Hopefully the big escalations in price are behind you. Great to get one at MSRP. Hope it comes soon.
