Reverse Light Kit/Chase light as well?

I did DD harness and lights (pros) Fast Intentions Bracket (DD did not have a Bronco Raptor compatible bracket at the time) and a Morimoto 5 Stop brake/running light. This allowed me to get rid of the wobbly OEM 3rd brake light, add chase lights and dramatically improve reverse lighting in a...

    BFG KO2 Issues?

Loved the stock K02s right up to the two sidewall blowouts on a trail in the middle of nowhere in Nevada desert. The stock C rated is light and provides a plush ride, but not made for heavy duty in broken rock. But probably perfect for most Raptors that don’t see a lot of off-road action...

    Engine and tranny heat limits

I didn’t keep any records on my temps, but as @Dgchurch said I was running consistently lower temps whenever we did a comparison, dunes, trail or highway. Only difference is intercooler and his slightly more spirited driving style (e.g. the aforementioned 2WD donuts in the dunes). That said...

    OEM tie rods for spares

Good point on the tool, I think inner tie rod needs a 1-3/4“ jaw adjustable wrench or appropriate metric wrench. To remove/replace the inner from the steering rack. A good sized hammer for the loosening the outer from the Lower arm, but the Foutz or RPG outer pop off the spindle much easier...

    Team Raptor Runs

Sounds like a hoot. I’ll look up TRR, but if there’s a link handy…. Probably look to join a run or two once it cools down in the fall. Looking forward to starting my Mojave 400 near Ludlow a week from tomorrow. It’s going to be hot the first few days, but will be camping at elevation...

    OEM tie rods for spares

I had no issue ordering some six months ago… I got a couple of inners from Sayville Ford and one inner from Bob Howard Ford via FordPartsOnline (I think) which routed the order to these dealers. Parts # was NB3Z-3280-E, cost was $98.96 per rod. Try this link...

    Steering Sensor Issue

Steering Rack internals failing is the diagnosis. Due to upcoming Mojave trip, I’m opting to revert to stock steering rack for the time being. Time is of the essence! When I get back, a friend is going to autopsy my 74 Weld housing and internals to see precisely what failed. I’ll take that...

    Steering Sensor Issue

Thanks for the thoughts. The noise in the video is when I’m at a complete stop. The only thing moving is the steering wheel. But I agree it sounds like a tire hitting a fender liner or such.

    Steering Sensor Issue

It’s a dirt short course “track” at the local OHV area (Prairie City). It’s sort of a much bigger version of the short course at Raptor Off-Rodeo. The current Google Maps view shows it when it was set up for the Ultra4, et al, rock racing series race. They bring in big boulders and add a...

    Steering Sensor Issue

Unclear of this is hardware or software issue yet, but floating it to see if the BroncoRaptor forum brain trust has any info….. Any others experiencing Steering Angle Sensor fault? Any hints on resolving? I was at the local track, pushing hard yesterday, came home and washed truck including...

39x13.5x17 BFG KO3 & Stock Steering Rack & Tie Rod Thoughts

I have hypercos and top hats. There is no requirement to install the top hats, the Hypercoil springs work fine with stock. However it appears that the point of most likely point of failure on Raptors after installing spring (or other) lifts is the top hats. So if you’re running your truck...

    Mojave Preserve today

Fantastic! I’m heading down in late March for a week in E. Mojave with a few friends. Planned route is covering 425 miles over 6 days. Covering a few old favorites and exploring some new territory. Love it there this time of year.

4 A - 4H - 4L wont engage? Lights says its on.....never locks in while on the ground when needed

Glad this worked out….eventually. Since (almost) everything is electronic on the Broncos you kind of forget vacuum is a thing anymore. I was thinking wheel speed sensor, but that would’ve thrown a code. Thanks for posting your issue, it’ll be helpful when I’m troubleshooting in the future...

39x13.5x17 BFG KO3 & Stock Steering Rack & Tie Rod Thoughts

@Dgchurch is well acquainted with flares coming off long before the 39s came along. I’m not seeing that as a deal killer ha ha
