Long story short, I bought a 2 door Bronco for my daughter and surprisingly, I have been enjoying it A LOT!

Love the short wheelbase, small interior and just the overall “cuteness” factor of it - it really is a lot of fun! (and, I haven’t taken it off road)

I am shipping it to her in Miami at the end of the month and I am already missing it.

What are your perceptions so far between the two. Interior sound, handling, etc?

The 2 door is small both inside & outside. Turning radius is tight, over all stature is small and it literally feels like driving an off-road go kart compared to the Raptor. It’s lower, shorter & more narrow - these are all very noticeable when driving. It came with rock rails so no tube step or running board so I’ll see if that’s an issue for my daughter’s entry/egress and modify as needed to suit her.

On the inside, the front seat area is about the same but the back seat & cargo area are minuscule compared to the Raptor. The back actually only has 2 seats (not 3) and they each fold as 50/50 not 60/40 like the Raptor. The seat bottom flips forward and then folds up to allow for the rear seat back to then fold down. The cargo area is similarly small and roughly 1/2 the size of the 4 door variant. The (lack of) thickness of the steering wheel is noticeable and the wash out interior is a nice 2 tone black with grey accents which break up the monotony and adds a bit of panache to the interior.

Overall, it drives very nicely and I am SIGNIFICANTLY surprised how well mannered the 2.3L is. Decent acceleration and power without feeling “buzzy” (like a small motor can). While cruising at highway speeds, the small engine does just great and there’s surprisingly a decent amount of power for passing too. The shorter wheelbase and lighter weight allows for quick maneuvers especially it tight spaces. The 2.3 makes good power at low RPM and driving in the rain, the rear tires can easily break loose under acceleration from a stop or even when dry during low speed turns. I haven’t taken it off pavement nor screwed around with the GOAT modes so I can’t provide a perspective on that (yet).

NVH seems to be on par with its larger siblings. The audio is similarly lacking as it is in the 4 door but somehow sounds slightly better likely just because of the smaller interior. The fake engine noise that gets pumped into the interior is terrible and I’ll look into disabling that because there is no way a 4 cylinder turbo sounds like that on the outside.

It’s really cute and certainly gets a lot less attention than the Raptor!

I haven't driven the Bronco 2 dr, but my dealer had 2 dr badlands w/2.3 7spd, he was impressed and considers it one of Ford's funnest driving vehicles currently offered.

I have to think this would be the mix of both your Raptor & Black Diamond.

Sweet! Your a cool Dad, let your daughter know that members on the Raptor forum also likes her new Bronco. Is your daughter aware of her new incoming Bronco or is it a surprise?
