Bronco Raptor Trail Setup & Storage Ideas

Hey everyone,

I’m planning a few upgrades for off-road trips and daily use and wanted real-world feedback. I’m looking for smart cargo storage solutions that hold up on rough terrain without rattling or taking up too much space.

Has anyone here installed MOLLE panels, cargo drawers, or seat-back organizers that actually work well on trails like Moab or desert runs? I’m also considering a roof rack but worried about wind noise and clearance.

What setups have you tried, and what would you avoid?

Photos and brand recommendations would really help before I start buying gear.

I’ve done a few things that I’m happy that I can share. I use this stuff regularly. Tested on the Rubicon and many other Sierra trails and 400-500 mile desert runs.

I did rear upper cargo ADD molle panels. I’ve mounted my ARB twin compressor on the drivers side, and fire extinguisher on the passenger side. So I don’t use the molle aspect a lot, but what I love about them is the secure space they create (due to their design) between the outside of the panel and the hard top. I stuff all my soft stuff (down sleeping bag, emergency clothes, rain gear, winter jacket, first aid kit and more) in there and leave most of it in tucked out of the way all year long. These turned dead space into a ton of useful storage

I’ve also done a Goose Gear rear seat delete and drawer system that creates a flat platform. This thing stores a ton of stuff, really well built but not cheap. I keep all my recovery gear, tools, spare parts etc with room to spare in the seat delete cubbies. No more loading/ unloading, tying stuff down that I use regularly.

The drawers are super handy for storing a lot of stuff as well. It’s also possible to still access the OEM jack (if you use it) and the cargo floor cubby storage.

Goose Gear did a terrible job delivering the system to me, but once I got everything I’ve been very happy with it. I have added some bracing on the seat delete panels to stiffen it up a bit.

For the cargo area I bought the large Tuffy lockable cargo drawer. It fits almost everything you need to take. I just wanted to have something to keep everything secured in case of an accident and I can keep inside the Bronco full time. I also use the front seat molle panels for my first aid kit and tire patch kit. My ice chest sometimes goes on top of the cargo drawer strapped in. The off road jack I use is made my Gortech. It is a HD scissor jack and that fits easily in the drawer. I'm used to truck beds, but with the Bronco, I needed to be a little more creative to fit everything inside. I cut the oem mat to fit on top. Comes in handy for my dog and other things I have to throw on top.

I have gone the ultralight route with all of my gear and accessories. One molle panel I did install was the Epic Outfitter CROWmolle overhead panel.

I was skeptical that I would benefit from it at first, now it is easily one of my favorite upgrades of all time. Its a beautiful design perfectly fitted to the raptor cross-brace.
