@wheelsick posted this awesome photo of his Bronco Raptor at the Garden of the Gods in our Bronco Raptor of the Month Contest and it spurred on more discussion that deserves its own thread. So let's talk Bronco Raptors, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb!

I raced the PPIHC from 2010 to 2013 so I have many fond memories of this mountain and the surrounding area. Below are some videos of me racing The Peak in my home-built Polaris RZR race car.

If you have some Pikes Peak stories, photos or videos let's see them!

OMG moments galore, I love racing but I could Never Ever at elevations. Wow, amazing control, understeer than oversteer, beyond a handful. 😰 Congrats, the Thrill at the top must be beyond words. 🏁🍻

It's a wild race that's for sure! My fastest time was 10:40 which was an average speed of almost 70 mph. That year I finished 9th overall. It felt pretty good doing that in my homemade machine competing with professional race teams such as Porsche, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Ducati, and others. Maybe a Bronco needs to run The Peak one of these days... ;)

Impressive, top 10 in a driver/owner built car in any pro race is amazing. Is the 2013 car an entirely new build from your 2012 car? Approximate HP? Centrifugal drive clutch?

I ended up chopping the 2012 car and turned it into what it is now for the 2013 race. I hand-laid all the carbon fiber and tried my best to make my own F1 car. I hope to get it out of storage soon and start racing it again at local autocross events and race tracks.

That just shows what talent and skills you have. Just to run Pikes Peak like you did is extremely impressive to say the least. I'm sure I would appreciate just seeing your work.

Thank you! Here are some of my favorite photos from the race and the evolution of the car.

Wow...how could you not be happy with those pictures. They're awesome!!! I would have never even have thought to start doing something like that to a RZR. Then to see what it has turned into....yeah it's sweet!
