Hi Everyone,

I was under my truck looking about concerning the FMI skid plate being installed in November and I came across this. One of the drive shaft boots is slightly askew. 1st picture show a bit of grease as well. 2nd picture shows the boot mangled but intact and the 3rd is the other side for reference.

I have an oil change in just over two weeks so I thought I would keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get worse and deal with it then.

What do you think? Good plan? As well, are these boots readily available at dealers? Thanks

Looking at it today in the daylight. The boot does not have any damage except that it is mangled. If a stick hit it and moved the boot it would have ripped the boot or at least left some evidence of a hit. It may have came this way or at least been this way for awhile. The boot seems attached well even though it is askew. I have cleaned the area of grease and will see how it goes. It does not seem to be of immediate concern so that is good.
