2022 Bronco Raptor
Very interesting comparison of the different oil filter cartridges available for our 3.0L Bronco Raptor engines. He mentions the 6.0L powerstroke filter cartridge issues and I agree, as a result, I only use the recommended Motorcraft filters in my 6.0L Powerstroke.

"We're taking a look at every Motorcraft FL-2062-A derivative we’ve managed to get our hands on. We also took very detailed measurements and observations of the materials and construction methods used for each filter. This is not the be-all-end-all of this story. As new filters become available we’ll add them to the list."

Just changed my oil @ 600 miles, picked up new cartridge at the dealership. When I drained oil and pulled cartridge out it was different than the new one. The original was much beefier with hard rubber ends with a small rod from end to end to enforce. Called dealership said on his computer it stated the replacement will "not match original" I almost cleaned old one since it seemed so much better but did install new one? Anyone else have same result??

Correct, the FL-2062-A as he is pointing to below is the correct filter, filter on the right is what came in our 3.0L but no longer available. Appears factory is using old stock.

Yes that’s the replacement filter I have installed that he’s pointing to

Also, the original filter had small stainless rod from end to end I'm thinking if you're slamming your Braptor down on a jump this rod could keep filter cartridge from collapsing. Why else would rod be there??
