So. Few months ago I had ProVal Fprd tune installed…no problems. Today for the 1st time I plugged in the ProVal box into the OBDll port to check it out and see what’s on it. After I visited the screen for tire size and backed out and busted the program screen to see how to load the stock file before I take it to the dealer for the wire harness recall I got a error showing P160A fault code.
Searching around the internet someone mentioned ProCal is weird and will cause issues just looking around in it but to change tire size and go back to correct tire size and it should clear and fix the issue of some ECU modules not syncing up. Luckily this worked but I’m scared to death to plug it in again and download back to stock file before warranty service.
The dealer said to bring it in with stock file or I’ll lose my ProVal file and they are not responsible for tuned vehicles and normally don’t do warranty on modified ECU vehicles such as mine. Well that sucks…I thought this tune was a authorized Ford Product?
Any tips on ProCal? I don’t want to lose my file and the money I spent on this. Thnks! I’m seriously thinking of not doing the wire harness recall. My harness looks fine and I can wrap the harness myself. Weird stuff…..
