"The Ford Bronco has an illustrious history at the legendary Baja 1000 off-road race, having claimed overall victories in 1968, 1969, and 1971, coupled with numerous class wins including 2023, 2024, and 2025. With The Blue Oval laser-focused on its motorsports efforts as of late, we saw the V8-powered Ford Bronco DR compete at Baja recently, but it certainly isn't alone - rather, it's also been joined by the Ford F-150 Raptor as well. Now, a new Ford Bronco Raptor racer has been revealed for this year's Baja 1000."

"The reveal of the all-new Ford Bronco Raptor Race Truck, as it's officially known, happened at this weekend's Raptor Rally, and was just one of a few big announcements that took place there. It'll tackle the 2026 Baja 1000 next month, with drivers Brad Lovell, Loren Healy and Vaughn Gittin Jr. behind the wheel. Notably, this year's Baja 1000 will mark the first time in its lengthy history that the race starts and finishes in San José del Cabo."

"As for the Ford Bronco Raptor Race Truck that will aim to beat the competition across that 964.96-mile loop through Baja California Sur, it's based on the production model, and is also equipped with the twin turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine and Fox live-valve shocks, though it incorporates a host of improvements that Ford has collected. via its racing efforts - including improved cooling and air induction systems, a revised suspension, and increased dust filtration capacity for extreme desert conditions."

"The Bronco Raptor Baja Race Truck features new front and rear bump stops, a Ford Racing Parts calibration, developmental chassis calibrations (destined for future production Raptor models), a carbon fiber roof, a roll cage, Method Race Wheels, Baja Designs lighting, and 37-inch BFGoodrich KDR3 racing tires - though otherwise, it's a lot like the Bronco Raptor fans can buy from their local dealer."

“We’ve raced the previous truck for thousands of miles through some of the harshest conditions Baja can throw at us, and it proved itself again and again,” said Kristen Goslawski, Off-Road Motorsports Supervisor, Ford Racing. “So rather than starting from scratch, we took everything we’ve learned over the past several years and made thoughtful improvements where we knew they could make a difference."

"When you start with such a strong production platform, you can spend less time addressing the fundamentals and more time finding the limits. That’s what makes this next chapter exciting: we’re at a point where we can start pushing the pace. And the best part is that everything we’re learning along the way helps us continue making Raptor better.”

I love racing like this... I'd love a further look underneath! Looks like stock shocks, springs, ride height, upper arms.....
I'll be pulling for them... motorsport is my #1 sport so I'm into this for sure! 👍🏼

....also anyone know what "chassis calibration " really refers to? Are they referring to extra chassis bracing?

So sad, we were there at the unveiling but decided to call it a day before the reveal. 😭

But @Dgchurch and I got our moneys worth on the jump at the rally. I thought my jump was good, but his was….wow!
