New Off Grid Expedition Trailer

I installed the E-Clik, and out of the gate, the highway ride is huge! I feel like I am in a Cadillac, well, a caddy that can off-road like a beast anyway. My wife and I drove to a resort last weekend, and she said, "What did you do to this?" and continued on with the ride was super smooth. I haven't had a chance to take it in the dirt yet. Heading out on a trip in a few weeks and can't wait to dive into what it can do.
Great news, just back from Colorado. I will have to share some thoughts on that. I pulled the new trailer and all was well with some sag as discussed. So have you towed yet? It seems with your post you have only driven. Am I correct? It will be nice to hear about towing and about off road. Great it works well on the road. Look forward to hearing more.

I leave for a 6 day overland trip on Friday and will post my feedback on E-Clik when I get back. Excited to put it to the test.

Awesome thank you. I had a brief look yesterday at the system. It looks like a great solution. Did you install yourself or have someone do it? We are not far from Hammer Built. I will start a conversation with them soon and get installation figured if this is the way to go. So far so good. I like what I see and hear from you.
Looks like an awesome setup! What kind of gas mileage do you get while towing?
It looks like around 10.7 miles per gallon on a 3000 mile trip. Maybe slightly more.

I did install it and its a pain in the @55! If Hammer Built could do the install I would recommend going that route. Ask for Shawn at Hammer Built, the guy knows his stuff. Good luck and will report when I get back.

Great thanks man. Look forward to your report.

That is a sweet setup..

So how is the pulling with the e-click installed? I got an Antishanty RR-1 (very sweet trailer) but the sag is pretty extreme even though all the weight specs are within range. This pic was when I picked it up -empty and with only one 5kw battery in the front garage, but with 40 gal of full Jerry cans at the back. Now have added another 5kw EcoFlow battery and a few minor (maybe 40 lbs) things forward of the axle - with most weight adds over the axle or aft of it. Looking for a solution to stiffen up while towing without significantly killing the off-road wheeling performance. Eventually plan to match the wheels to the Braptor’s to eliminate a spare from one of the vehicles. Any updated help or experience?

oh man. Forgot to check the gas milage going to Colorado. Man. I never check it. For some reason I don't pay attention. I seem to fill up often..I will have to do that for sure.

Very cool nice trailer. I would like to hear about the E Click as well. This is about when I was planning on looking into the install. It does sound like the eClick works. @iambigd says it drives real nice and it has a two setting to stiffen up the rear so it will be nice to hear how it all works with a trailer.

Great looking trailer.

I spoke with Hammer Built. We discussed the possibility of the coils being overwhelmed on the Raptor while towing. Sure the e Click would stiffen up the suspension but it would not overcome the coil being overloaded. That being said being able to stiffen up the suspension should help regardless.

It would be great to hear your experience with the sag.

Not sure what I am going to do with the install. With the SDI top hats for the front shocks (to raise it up an inch because of winch sag) and the e Click install it is getting expensive. At this moment I don't want to spend the cash; however, that could change with a sale of a large item and I will pull the trigger then.

I apologize for taking so long to respond. The E-Clik system is pretty damn excellent. Now, I still have sag. I ordered the Speedco springs for the rear. I think the Eibachs are still too soft. Overall, it was a huge improvement, and I am glad I did it. Tows much better, more control, less rear-end bounce with off-road. Plus, having the ability to dial it in on the fly is nice. I also ordered a weight distribution setup for my hitch, but I won't get a chance to test it out for a few months. I have the Lock and Roll hitch, and I'm just not sold on it, yet.

I have the Eibach springs and ordered HyperCo's for the rear. I hope this, plus a weight distribution setup, eliminates the sag. Its much better with the E-Clik and Eibachs but still sags a little. I hate hitch sag. I wish someone would create an airbag system for these. I would buy one in a second.
