Hello, new to the forum, I am in the gathering of info stage of the shopping process. Presently I have a 2016 JKU RHR on 37’s which my wife hates to get in/out of (I do agree, its a PITA at times) & also has the typical Jeep wondering when on the pavement.

Thus we are looking to upgrade and a Raptor is my top pic. We presently pull my JKU behind my RV so we will do the same with the Raptor.

We plan on visiting the local Ford dealership tomorrow & do our first Bronco test drive. I hope to drive the Raptor and a lower trim level to see how they compare…. Possibly take a new wrangler for a drive as well.

Drive them all, but you’re gonna like the Raptor…..

Been a Jeep owner for years but now an extremely happy Raptor owner! Here’s some pics!

Welcome to the forum! Did you make a decision post test drives?

Unfortunately work became busy so I couldn’t do a test drive. There are 8 Raptors close to me so if we like them hopefully we can strike a deal on one. That being said we are also more then willing to travel for the right vehicle/price!

We drove several trims, most with the Sasquatch package. We were leaning toward Wildtrak but the ergos, nicer interior/seats, more solid sounding (no rattles or creaks), ride quality and extra power of the Raptor made it more compelling for us which is what we ended up with. It’s easy to say the Raptor is overpriced, and maybe it is, but if you look at the details, you can see what the extra cost goes to.

I got antsy waiting for my order in 2022 and considered bailing on it and buying a Wildtrack or Rubicon 392. But as you say, when you look at the details you come to realize it’s almost a completely different vehicle from the other Broncos….

Sadly though, when you have a problem on the trail in your Raptor, those unique spare parts are hard to come by.

Well, finally spent some time in a BRaptor today as well as a Wildtrack. My wife doesn’t like the looks of the exterior ot all and we were both kinda 50/50 on the interior. I do like the seats even though the one we test drove had manual seats.

Driving it felt pretty good, it did feel bigger/wider than I was expecting. My biggest turnoff was the amount of wind noise…. Significantly more noise than my 16 JKU. The noises seemed to come from everywhere, roof, windows etc….

After leaving kinda undecided on what I thought of the BRaptor, we took a wildtrack for a spin. We only drove a mile or so, I don’t know if there was something wrong with it or what but a complete lack of power. I swear my 45ft RV is quicker!

Unfortunately I think a Bronco is a no go for me. We were going to consolidate my wrangler and her Lexus down to one but I think it’s best for me to keep my JKU and just replace her Lexus. Maybe in a few years I will consider one but at this time it’s a no

Is it possible that you are thinking about it all wrong @Viggen

Keep the JKU & get a Braptor!

Unfortunately we don’t have the funds for adding another vehicle w/o getting rid of a vehicle. We hope to live full time in the RV one of these days & are limited to what we can bring with us.

Wrangler, BRaptor & my Lotus won’t fit in a trailer

I really really wish I had kept my Lotus Elise. It’s the perfect bookend to the Bronco Raptor on the automotive continuum! Both vehicles absolutely perfectly suited for their vastly different intended uses, with little consideration for daily driving (my 22 is a no options, high package). These are my two favorite cars ever.

Are you sure the top is locked down everywhere? My Braptor isn’t Lexus quiet and it is like driving a wall, so some noise is expected but I don’t hear wind leaking in even at 75-80mph.
