Are they available in California?

Are they available in California?

Doesn’t look like it. clicking on the link to purchase online, it states 49 state legal

Now if you can purchase out of state & have that dealership install there… no clue

I bought an extended warranty from Grainger & I was told if I get this added to my 2023 Raptor it will void that warranty & I'll only have the 3yr / 36k mile one. This is most disappointing to say the least. 🤬

May I ask who told you this? If true, that would be very disappointing, to say the least.

Hello everyone,

I thought I would jump in and help. Unfortunately, the Performance Tune would void that part of the warranty due to it not being a OEM part directly from the factory. It would drop the factory bumper-to-bumper to 3yr/36k.

I know and understand how this can be disappointing. I am sorry to be the one to relay this information regarding Ford ESPs.

A Ford insurance that doesn't believe in a Ford product. Fantastic.

Can you please be specific on what part of the extended warranty you are referring to?

Or are you saying that the entire FSP extended warranty would be completely void after installing the ProCal 4?

Whatever the tune requires/ parts touched when having to install, those parts would be voided, but parts/ parts of the vehicle that were never touched would not- the warranty would be active.

So I've got a "PREM" "NATIONAL VEHICLE SERVICE CONTRACT" from my dealer. Nothing in my paperwork says "ESP" or has a name like Extended Service Plan. Is this still the same thing or are we talking about two different types of extended warranties?

I reviewed this contract today and found only one case where the warranty may not be honored due to the ProCal 4 tune (installed by a dealer or ASE certified technician) and that's a line that refers to "damage caused by after-market parts, including Ford Racing parts or accessories". However, in this case, the technician would have to be confident that the ProCal 4 caused the damage. Also, would this ProCal 4 be considered "after-market" or a "Ford Racing part"? I'm not sure if "Ford Performance" and "Ford Racing" are the same thing, but my currently feeling is that they are not.

There is another reference to "installation or use of any mechanical or electrical part not approved, certified, or authorized by Ford," however, I do not believe that applies as this part is supplied and certified by Ford.

I reviewed the New Vehicle Limited Warranty today and found that the ProCal 4 tune, installed by a dealer or ASE certified technician, should not void the bumper-to-bumper, powertrain, or emissions warranties.

For those who have installed this ProCal 4 tune, what parts are touched?
Is that mean only the OBD port will not be cover? to my understanding they only plug into the OBD port for the software calibration installation. and thats the only hardware part they touched during installation.
