I seem to have a recurring problem with my build: the thing I want usually doesn’t exist.
There wasn’t an off-the-shelf solution that could package the power, distribution, air, audio and connectivity I wanted, in the space I wanted, while still being built to take real off-road abuse.
So, as usual, the answer was to build it.
This is the start of the next phase of my Bronco project: a completely custom rear power and accessory system designed around how I actually use the truck—not around what happens to fit in an existing kit.
And yes, that is the REDARC Alpha150.
The electrical system is being built around the Redarc Alpha150 - fused power distribution block and ground block—the same type of hardware used in trophy trucks. And this isn’t just for the audio system. It’ll power the ARB compressor plumbed to all four wheel wells, auxiliary lighting, Starlink, audio, and the other accessories I have in the truck.
So where does all of this go?
Right there.
The entire structure will be reinforced underneath and built to handle Baja running, jumps and hard impacts. It also stays above the factory tow-hitch reinforcements, so nothing extends below them.
Still a lot to build, but the idea is pretty simple: if the solution doesn’t exist, make one.
