I had a high school friend have a hitch ball narrowly missing him as it went thru the windshield of his truck, therefore I as well as most of you are aware, Never Never use a trailer hitch ball and insert to pull another vehicle. Also please don't use cheap recovery gear or D-rings, someones life may depend on it. This video shows examples of proper recovery gear.
