Running the Best in the West - Vegas to Reno race course in reverse

Ran 420 of the 500+ miles of the race course recently completed by Loren Healy in a “stock” Bronco Raptor last weekend. We certainly took a more leisurely pace compared to him, but I still DNFed with my second sidewall blowout on the stock C Load rated K02s. Lesson learned there! Ha ha. But the crew I was with managed to get a sidewall patch to hold (but still leaking) on the better of the two tires which allowed me to make it 100 miles to Pahrump NV where we located a F150 rim on Facebook Marketplace. An almost new 37” K02 mounted for $200 on a Sunday night! What are the odds? I had to drive slow and air up the leaking tire every 15 miles or so, but made it and was fully operational that night.

Cleaning all that mud from top and bottom, getting new set of tires and replacing my camera that got backed into… the adventure has just begun!

Now that looks like a fun adventure with the Bronco Beast!! I bet the video is epic to watch! Looked like a lot of fun!

Looks epic. We just did the Bronco Raptor off-rodeo Saturday Nov 2nd, they mentioned that the main problems they encountered were sidewall puncture on sharp rocks. We drove an hour into the desert on fire roads to an old mine site where they have a mini ultra 4 course setup. Had a blast beating up the provided Raptors.
