Vegas Off-Rodeo

Anyone else going August 22nd to the Vegas Raptor Off-Rodeo course?
Welcome to BroncoRaptor.com! 🍻
I'll be there June 28th.
Welcome to BroncoRaptor.com! 🍻

The course schedule helps mitigate the effects of the heat by having a demo first thing in the morning where your outside observing, followed by you getting assigned your Bronco Raptor for the day, then some slow speed challenging mountain terrain while getting the opportunity to do some flexing (suspension) behind the wheel. During this time the instructors are outside spotting while you have the AC on. In the Afternoon your inside your assigned Raptor, with AC, for desert running to Raptor Valley. Unlike most pavement auto racing events, you get to have the AC on even when blitzing around Raptor Valley. Yes it'll be warm, but you'll be behind the wheel most of the day.

Enjoy, it's a Fun learning day!

This is a good overview video of the day.

Anyone know if there is transportation from Red Rock Resort to the Off-Roadeo site?
Rent a car for the day... It is a very smooth gravel road off the main pass thru the mountain. Someone showed up in a Mercedes 2 door sports car and another in a rental Mustang when we went.

LOL - I rented a convertible Mustang GT350-H from Hertz and that gravel road was NO FUN!

June 22, 2024 it was a balmy 115* in Raptor Valley - but it’s dry heat! 🤪

I just signed up to go in November.

It was 110 in Raptor Valley mid April last year, 🤣
I don't recall how hot it was when I went two years ago but I had issues with my Raptor and so did someone else with it overheating on the way back from Raptor Valley. I had coolant pouring out the overflow tank when the temp alarm went off.

The guides were carrying extra relays since they apparently were having lots of issues in high heat with them failing. Ford mounted them close to the radiator of all places..... So the Off-Roadeo trucks had them slightly relocated so they were easier to access and then a special foil heat wrap installed around to try and add additional hear protection to them that they could quickly open and close up to replace the relays.

I quickly bought a spare relay that I keep in my truck.
