I’m sure there are other products, but this worked great for me and was super easy!
My bay gets filthy from lots of wheeling. So I decided to find a good way to clean er up. I stumbled onto KochChemie Motoplast. Process is simple.
1. Spray down the engine bay with water, not a pressure washer.
2. Spray Simple Green on everything.
3. Use a brush to agitate and clean everything. I have a selection of round brushes that get into nooks and crannies. That said I really did an uninspired half ass job as you’ll see.
4. Rinse the bay.
5. Spray Motoplast over everything while it’s wet. I used about 1/8th of a bottle or less
6. Shut the hood and clean the rest of your car
7. When you’re done cleaning the outside, open the hood and it looks like this. I wish I took a before picture it was filthy. Also Motoplast won’t spruce up stuff that is still dirty, so be a little more diligent than I was for even better results. FWIW
