What is this strap?

I have looked around and at pics and haven't seen another one. I took off my spare tire to mount a chase light and found a strap kinda stuffed under the mount and goes to the tailgate arm mount (I think). I cant be the only one with it. I am just wondering what it is? Maybe an emergency strap to tie your spare to the Bronco in case the mount breaks off? It just looks kinda non-factory with the folded and faded nylon strap there. Thanks for any info. 4BY

It’s on all Raptors and you nailed it - in case of failure, the spare tire mount would remain tethered to the vehicle.
