Curious what everyone is choosing for balancing, especially if going to 38s or 39s. Heard arguments for traditional wheel weights as well as ceramic balancing beads.

I have always used traditional stick on wheel weights. I also, especially with large heavy truck tires, have them tire and wheel matched at time of mounting on a Hunter Road Force Elite wheel balancer. Not all technicians are qualified to match them, some won't even know what your asking, so consult with the tire/wheel store ahead of time. Discount tire offers that service, I have found most dealers do not. The Hunter Road Force Elite (earlier versions known as 9700) will indicate where the tire needs to be positioned on the wheel to obtain absolute smooth balancing.

I do not have any experience with the ceramic balancing beads.
