I thought I would put up some pictures and information in case it may help someone else using the search function

Yesterday I was able to install my control arms and coil perch colors

Here are some pictures and information

First up installing the perch collars
I had to use what I thought was a little bit more effort than I assumed with the rubber mallet to pop off the factory collars
After which it was quite easy to just bolt on the new ones
And torque them the spec

Next, I found it easiest
To just loosen and set aside most of the vacuum hoses and ABS wire, brake lines, etc.
Just move them off to the side
Then undo your tie rod and control arm bolts

It left me enough room that I was able to just push down with a prybar
And pop out the suspension and strut set up
And then reinstall

By doing it this way, I did not have to mess with the CV axle or anything else that I thought I may have to

I was super impressed by the quality and ease of installation with the parts

I wish I’d gotten more pictures, but we were really in a time crunch to be able to use the shop after hours

This seemed like the correct orientation of the live valve bracket from other pics I saw

Thanks for writing this up and including pictures. I’m sure it will someone down the road.

any reason for selecting RPG collars instead of Foutz?

3” just more clearance
When I bought them months ago, I haven’t done a whole lotta research

I don’t think it’s gonna make that huge of a difference for what I will end up doing👍

Parking lot test today
I cannot confirm it is 100% articulation
As I was by myself with no’s spotter, in a rush on the way home from the game

But it seems to clear even the rear fenders with just the tiniest amount of rubbing noticeable

Damn good looking beast you got there! Just curious how does it feel driving? Can you feel a difference when accelerating on how heavy the tires are? Also having bigger tires is your speedometer off at all?

Given you have the uca, i would recommend adding the foutz lower arm lockout plates. Aside from added strength, you can lock your alignment in and never have to worry about it shifting no matter what you throw at it.

Slightly slower acceleration
But if you floor it, it’ll still get out of its own way 👍
No problem merging onto the Capital Beltway from the exit ramps
To play NASCAR 4 lanes wide 🤣🤷‍♂️

Also spedo is off a little
When I’m doing 55 my GPS says about 62
When I’m doing 63 GPS says about 70

that’s also my fault partially
As we were in such a rush Friday night to go home
I was not able to use the scanner and reset the wheel diameter to that maximum number
If I’ve done my research right, it would be this number that I found using the search function

Forgot to put this on there
The slight rear tire rubbing
I may end up doing my 1 inch body lift with hockey pucks
I’d like to keep some of the fenders on to keep things like rocks n mud from flying all over the place

Got the shocks recalibrated and did some flex testing
Brake lines look ok
Rear bumper plastic was hitting
Pulled it off for now until bumper upgrade
Hard to tell the front is pushed up, but it seemed to have plenty of clearance after the fog light and bumper end removal

Rear brake lines seemed ok
But on the lift they looked like it might be less slack when jumping
