Just got my 2022 Bronco Raptor and the first offroad session I did, we hit 2 feet of water and right after my electrical systems failure light came on. Alternator stopped working and drained my battery after an hour. After doing some digging around the internet, I realized that it is a common issue. I was able to get this covered by warranty under TSB 23-2238. They replaced the Alternator, Belt, New Upgraded Shield. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this TSB performed and if the new Upgraded Shield works better? Or is this 100 thousand dollar truck useless in 2 feet of mud water

My ‘22 alternator gave up the ghost in Moab at about 18 months. It was completely dry conditions, but I’d been through a fair amount of water in the months prior. They replaced everything under the TSB. Haven’t had a problem since. I wheel a lot, hit some water from time to time, but not usually really muddy situations.

The bigger issue I’ve had is getting stones up somewhere in the rotating area of my front brakes. Get to listen to some serious squealing from 5 to 15 minutes. Usually happens in stream crossings and deep sand.
