My dealer service team says "sometimes that happens with all Fords" -- but that's not good enough.

My remote start works with the app or the key fob, but even when it's very cold out the heat seats won't come on until after I enter the truck and push the start button. I've checked the owner's manual and all of the settings are correct. I asked the dealership service team to check the temperature sensors, but it was slightly above 50 degrees in the service bay and they said they had no way to check it... hard to believe.

Thoughts anyone?

If you’ve checked the settings and confirm that it indicates the last setting then I’m out of ideas, I have been using the remote start by key and my last settings return. I wonder if there’s a reset or if software update will correct?

I have been trying to use remote start this hot Florida summer to cool the cabin some before driving. The AC in the Bronco is quite powerful.

However I have run into a similar problem. Even when I leave the AC set to something like 72 F, when I use remote start the AC and fans don't turn on at all. I have only done this with the app since I can never get the key FOB remote start to work.

What good is remote start if the AC/heat don't turn on in the vehicle?

I finally got the key FOB working for remote start (even with the windows open), but same thing. No fans, no AC.

OK, so under Vehicle Settings, there is a Remote Start Setup:

The Climate Control: Auto setting claims that it will automatically adjust the temperature. It's unclear when this would actually do anything, perhaps only when below 32 F. But in the hot summer, it doesn't seem to do anything.
1474.webp

Changing it to Climate Control: Last Settings does get the AC to come on when you start the vehicle (if you had it on when turning the vehicle off).
1476.webp

Hopefully, this is useful to someone in the future. The setting is only accessible in the car (not via the app).
