I went gloss PPF all painted surfaces except rear haunches and tailgate with quad coat ceramic. Decided when I saw a Badsquatch they were doing and liked how it looked. And embracing the orange (I’d ordered blue but had to switch to orange when bumped to MY23).

All in about $5k (had quotes running up to $7-8k but got a discount as I’m a member of affiliated Freedom Supercars of Houston).

My installer put pics up at this website:

Can you "Sneek" Post the neighbors truck? I'd like to see real world colors.. I'm still confused why FORD picked such a weak color line up for the Raptor!
Finally caught my neighbors truck outside in the sun. Here are the two next to each other. Mine is in need of a bath so not as shiny as it could be. His is a first edition with red factory paint that he had wrapped to satin black. I'm not sure if a "clear" satin would look different in person compared to a colored satin. Still unsure about the wrap......

If your considering a Wrap or PPF or combination of both, this is a good informative video.

I wash my vehicles myself. My BRaptor has full PPF. It’s much easier to maintain. I didnt have to invest in polishers, polish pads, polish liquids and other polishing related products. I wash it with hot water, gyeon PPF maintain and P&S Beadmaker. The guy that wrapped recently saw it a year later and commented on how good it looked.

It takes me about and hour to wash, but when I’m done, it looks and feels like it has gone thru a full multi stage paint correction

This is a interesting twist, OEM gloss paint in satin XPEL STEALTH and the OEM satin fender flares in gloss XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS Paint Protection Film!

So the flared themselves were not painted gloss black ahead of PPF?

I don’t know how that fender flare treatment would adhere to or wear on the MIC top, but it seems that if it worked, it would be a dead ringer for the black mod top that I originally wanted but is still MIA as an option.

Correct, the surface will inherit the sheen of the PPF, either glossy or stealth (satin). If you use XPEL Ultimate Plus (gloss) PPF on our OEM flares they will become gloss black metallic, simply the opposite of using XPEL stealth on gloss paint. I considered it on mine, but I was hesitant that the surface smoothness quality of our composite flares may not have met my expectations once converted to a gloss finish, so I choose to wrap them in XPEL Stealth. These Flares could also have been wrapped with the XPEL Ultimate Plus Black. The metallic in our flares is so small it wouldn't difficult to see in this video. However the video desciption doesn't mention Ultimate Plus black was used.

I've seen pictures of the MIC top vinyl wrapped in color, in the photo's it looked good however it may have been sanded smooth before application. In this application I would choose the XPEL Ultimate Plus Black, if I wanted a black top, since it is far more durable than a vinyl wrap.

How long would that ordinarily last before it had to be reapplied, about 5-10 years? And ballpark on cost?

XPEL PPF has a 10 year warrenty. You would need to contact a local XPEL installer for a quote on costs and also with a vinyl alternative as I don't have any experience with vinyl wraps.
