Good morning, all. I’ve had this issue, since new, of a thump or clunk when I come to a stop and the rig sits back on its haunches, and also when taking off from a complete stop. It’s subtle, but shouldn’t be. I had done some research and most of what I found pointed to the 2 piece drive shaft. Local dealer just told me there’s a TSB on it. Has anyone had this issue and, if so, how was it solved? Seems a drive shaft is on order for me. Would appreciate any info. Thanks!

Glad to hear there is a TSB on this so dealers should have a clue about the fix.

I think the slip joint style and non-serviceability make the current setup suboptimal. I am no expert but, haven’t had this issue in over 2 decades with Jeeps.

So…when I picked it up yesterday, I was told drive shaft on order, but there is NOT a TSB. That was told to me in error. 🙄

I'm talking with my service group soon about the same issue. I've had the issue for a little over a year, but it's gotten worse in the last 2 months. Same symptoms, and I was assuming that was the issue so I'll have my techs check it out. Thanks for the update.
