What did you do to your Bronco Raptor today?

Actually got these in a few weeks ago but just opened the boxes. While not necessarily a mod TO the Braptor, it won't be used anywhere else. Will eventually be paired up with a Starlink mini as I must be connected 24/7. Heard they're releasing new models as well.

I weighed doing an in-Bronco setup but for me, this just made more sense. The Jackery 1000 is fairly small and the solar panels are surprisingly heavy but look to be very rugged with great build quality.

We had the braptor out on the beach didn't notice any difference.
Just got back from Super cell east and a Windrock TN off road park ride.
There was quite a bit of rain lately hence the muddy conditions.
The other Bronco Wild track slid in the Mud on some turns, but Our Braptor did not.
I also recalled sliding in the mud last year same ride same trail number.
IMHO i would say that the Panhard bar was the reason I did not slide.

Since an extended warranty precludes any real mods, I do a lot of little stuff because I'm a modaholic.

I bought stick-on brackets for the Bronco's seatbelts to keep them from flapping around with the top off or the windows open. They were cheap, bout $7, but I wasn't happy with how I thought they'd function. I ended up using magnets made for mounting a handgun to whatever. I used a heat gun to gently warm the plastic trim and the adhesive before applying and let them sit for a day or two before "testing" them out. But so far so good and it's easier to grab the buckle for passengers than pulling up and out of a clip. The buckle snaps right to the magnet and it's not difficult to get them to release. With the buckle attached, they pretty much cover up the magnets too so you can't see them. Did them for both rear seatbelts as well as the front passenger belt.

The next mod was from www.stickerfab.com in the form of stickers to cover up the yellow/white warning stickers on the visors as well as a protective sticker for the rear cargo ledge where the top sits.

I also added tool-less fasteners where the cargo area top secures to the roof rails. These are admittedly Rockworkx knockoffs but I knew I'd have to hack them up to work. The bolts, as is, are too long to get the knurled knob under the bottom edge of the top. I screwed on a nut and shorted the bolt by about a third with a cutting wheel, then took the nut off to clean the threads at the cut end. Worked like a charm. Plenty of clearance to get the knob in and more than enough thread to properly secure the top.

Lastly I bought a cheap $5 plastic mount for my Wolfbox rear camera. I'd been battling a good mounting solution with the supplied brackets and I even made one using some aluminum I had lying around. Just wasn't satisfied. The bracket works like a charm so far. We'll see how it does when it's 100 degrees out this Wednesday. I have the camera mounted on the inside so it actually works when it rains out. You're able to see cars just fine at night.

Admittedly, I never really use them to get in or out but they look cool. Pretty sure they'd dent my noggin if I got into a serious accident so best to avoid doing something like that!
 
I did something I probably shouldn’t have. It was fun. Scary too! Got out this pretty much unscathed except a surprisingly small amount of belly dragging. A few strategically placed rocks in front of front tires got me up off the belly, deflated the spare and placed a few landing boulders for the rear to drop on and I was out with no additional scraping. On a day trip on the Rubicon trail yesterday.

I also learned that if you do this and release your seatbelt, the seatbelt will refuse to redeploy. It also leaves a dialog box warning you your seatbelt isn’t on that cannot be disabled. So I couldn’t get degrees of declination to display, but it had to be shockingly close to my approach angle.

Had to drive out of this with no seatbelt though. Worked fine again once I was down. Not sure ford’s thinking on this one.

That's amazing, The only thing that limits the Braptor is who is behind the wheel !
 
That why I opted for the MGV so I could wash out the interior - it’s not for a little dirt on the floor, it’s when I soil my seat while doing stuff like that!

How did you decide Pedal Commander vs Pedal Monster?
Took a shot in the dark, saw commander advertised. However, after I got it, I saw a side by side electronic display was set up at one of the shows on YouTube. Pedal Commander seemed to have the best response. All I can be sure of is that the Pedal Commander is insane, from a week of actually having it.
