What did you do to your Bronco Raptor today?

Enjoyed a nice getaway at a secluded lake in Northern AZ. Then stayed a couple days at our cabin in Show Low, AZ

I did something I probably shouldn’t have. It was fun. Scary too! Got out this pretty much unscathed except a surprisingly small amount of belly dragging. A few strategically placed rocks in front of front tires got me up off the belly, deflated the spare and placed a few landing boulders for the rear to drop on and I was out with no additional scraping. On a day trip on the Rubicon trail yesterday.

I also learned that if you do this and release your seatbelt, the seatbelt will refuse to redeploy. It also leaves a dialog box warning you your seatbelt isn’t on that cannot be disabled. So I couldn’t get degrees of declination to display, but it had to be shockingly close to my approach angle.

Had to drive out of this with no seatbelt though. Worked fine again once I was down. Not sure ford’s thinking on this one.
John, you should read my ForScan posts about disabling the seatbelt warning screen. Works like a charm!

Installed this today, cruise temps on the highway were identical to OEM intercooler temps. Both front and rear louvers in place. I will likely remove the front louvers next weekend as I didn't want to remove the entire bumper due to time constraints. It's literally an hour job to swap this out, probably less the second time around. I could probably swap them in about half an hour.

Despite the cruise temps being the same, throttle response is unquestionably better. Absolutely no doubt. When you floor it, there seems to be less lag, more response in "normal" mode and the temps drop. I did have a chance to sit in heavy traffic. Turning on the a/c while crawling or even stopped brought the temps down albeit slowly. If I had to do it again, I'd likely go Whipple due to the included relocation hardware for the same $$$. I do like the CPE end tank design a bit better along with the diverters on the hot side to direct airflow appropriately.

Ultimately, I'd like to see a 3" thick version with sealed ducting, bar and plate and the superior end tank design all the aftermarket options have over the OEM intercooler. I'd also like to see a new front bash plate with a larger opening to funnel more air at the intercooler.
